Bowers bring in Allsopp

By Ian Townsend

Former Herne Bay- and Charlton- man makes an FA Cup debut

Bowers and Pitsea had a new name amongst their ranks as they fell to a narrow defeat at Wingate and Finchley, former Herne Bay man Eddie Allsopp making his debut.

Midfielder Eddie was a big part of Bay's success last season, making twenty appearances, whilst scoring two goals. He also spent some of the last campaign with Faversham Town, playing sixteen times and scoring three goals.

Eddie previously appeared for Barking- on loan from Charlton Athletic- during the 2020-21 campaign and scored six goals in eleven appearances before injury sent him back to the Valley. He came through the ranks at Phoenix Sports before moving to the Valley on an initial two year deal back in 2018, and was part of the Under 23 squad before leaving the club in the summer of 2021.
