Bracknell change manager- again

Lock the latest to depart Larges Lane

Football in Berkshire have this morning confirmed that Bracknell Town have parted company with manager Sam Lock.

Lock has had only five months in the Larges Lane hotseat, but the season hasn't started the way the Robins faithful would have hoped, as their side, hampered by a number of key injuries, have so far failed to deliver the kind of football that took them to the top of the table last season- and all the way to the Playoff Final. They sit in ninth place, after losing three of their nine games- although in fairness they are only two wins from the summit.

The club statement, which we can find only on the Football in Berkshire website, explains that the reasons for Lock's departure are to do with falling crowds and a loss of team identity. Mark Tallentire, the Director of Football, and First Team Coach Aaron Steadman will take over from Lock in the short term- and they certainly started well, as the Robins defeated Westfield 3-1 in the Velocity Trophy last night.
