Break rules Charman out for months

Bognor Regis Town Town defender Gary Charman is facing a long lay off from the Ryman Premier after breaking his leg.

Rocks manager Jamie Howell is likely to be without the services of the experienced defender at Nyewood Lane until after Christmas after he was hurt in their 2-0 win over Staines Town at Wheatsheaf Park on Tuesday night.

Charman, pictrured, confirmed the break after attending hospital on Wednesday and expects to be sidelined for eight to 12 weeks.

The defender spent some 15 years at Ryman South Horsham, making more than 550 appearances for his hometown club before being appointed Hornets manager in 2013.
