Two Southend youths head to the Island

Canvey Island have announced the work experience signings of forward Freddy Eastwood and midfielder Sam Brogan from Southend United.

Freddie played for the Gulls earlier this season, joining in mid November and making six appearances. He scored one goal, in the 5-0 Velocity Trophy win over Witham Town.

Sam is captain of the Youth Team at Roots Hall, and made his fiftieth appearance for the side in November. He joined the club almost six years ago, first playing for the Under 14 side.
