Chapman among managerial maestros, again!

Wingate & Finchley’s Daniel Nielsen and AFC Sudbury’s Jamie Godbold are looking forward to collecting their first Nicholas Rowe Tailoring Manager of the Month accolades after being unveiled alongside Burgess Hill Town boss Ian Chapman as one of January’s trio of winners.

Nielsen takes the top flight’s managerial honours for the first time this season for guiding the Blues to four wins from four outings in the opening month of 2015, his side keeping three clean sheets in wins over Enfield Town, AFC Hornchurch and Lewes as well as coming out on top in a 3-2 win over Witham Town at the Harry Abrahams Stadium.

UEFA licence holder Godbold only took over at Ryman North AFC Sudbury officially on 11 January after leaving Kirkley and Pakefield where he'd been managing for eighteen months to replace former Yellows boss David Batch.

By then, his new charges had already won two out of three league outings and the former Stoke, Cambridge City and Needham Market man guided them to four more wins and a victory on penalties over Witham Town In the third round of the Robert Dyas League Cup.

Hillians manager Chapman has been dominating this season’s managerial awards in Ryman South and he was named for a remarkable fourth time as the division’s top boss for masterminding his side’s six wins out of six in the league. On the way, the table-toppers scored 14 goals while conceding just five.

As well as being presented with framed certificates to mark their achievements at forthcoming fixtures, the managers will be measured up for bespoke new suits by the Surrey-based suit and menswear specialists who agreed a unique new sponsorship partnership in August to kit out all the Ryman’s top monthly managers.

Like all winners, they will choose from three colours at the long established company’s 7000 sq ft 'Suit City' in Redhill and there is no restriction on the number of suits managers can win for their monthly performances in Ryman League fixtures.
