The Ryman League's official charity partner for the 2016-17 season have been encouraging fundraisers from all 72 clubs to get involved in the run-up to the holiday weekend's double header of fixtures.
As well as providing programme adverts for clubs to flag up the league-wide bucket collections planned at home games over Easter, the charity's volunteers have delivered balloons, pin badges, wristbands, banners, bucket stickers, leaflets and lots while promoting the Easter campaign on social media using the hastag MenUnited.
Appointed this season as the successors to the British Heart Foundation, to encourage fans and their clubs to pull out all the stops for their cause Postrate Cancer UK are also offering a pair of VIP tickets to the best fundraisers for either the League One or League Two Wembley play-off final in May.
Andy Sallnow, Head of Sporting Events at Prostate Cancer UK, said: “We’d like to say a huge thank you to the Ryman League for hosting collections across the Easter weekend to help stop prostate cancer being a killer.
"It’s fantastic to see the organisation getting behind Prostate Cancer UK and raising funds, and awareness of the most common cancer in men in the UK.
"It is an incredible effort, one that will help us make prostate cancer a disease that the next generation of men need not fear. Thank you to everyone collecting and donating. We wish you all an ‘eggcellent’ weekend of football!”
