Royston striker heads to Cambridge

Cambridge City have announced the signing of Royston Town striker Ryan Ingrey, and thrust him directly into the squad that faces Canvey Island in Essex this evening. According to Town, this is a dual-registration rather than a permanent deal, designed to help him return to full fitness after a spell on the sidelines.

He has made seven appearances for the BetVictor Southern Premier Central side- who are currently in third place- this season, but is a long-serving player at the club, and part of their title success in 2016-17. He was formerly a youth player at Cambridge United.
