Sittingbourne make a move for Matt Weaire

Sittingbourne have announced the signing of defender Matt Weaire, who spent the second half of last season with Pitching In Isthmian Premier Play Off Semi-Finalists Cray Wanderers.

Centre back Matt came through the Academy at Brighton & Hove Albion and, after a little loan time at Gosport Borough, signed for Colchester United. Unlike most Colchester youth players he spent no time at all at Maldon & Tiptree, but he did sign on loan for Leiston. He moved on to Lewes, making twenty two appearances during the 21-22 season, before transferring to Sevenoaks Town- where he played seven times, winning six, as they escaped the drop. He made another twenty three Oaks appearances last season before making the step upwards with Wands in December, and played eleven times for the side from Hayes Lane.
