Davis departs

Rams boss leaves after poor start

Ramsgate have announced the departure of manager Nick Davis.

Davis, who took over at the helm at the end of 2018, has overseen a start to the season which has seen FA Cup success- victories over Steyning Town and Arundel seeing the side through to a Second Qualifying Round tie at Hadley on Saturday. However in the South East Division the story has been much different, with four defeats- three of them at home- and one draw meaning that the Rams sit at the bottom of the table with only one point. It seems that last night's three-nil defeat at the hands of local rivals Herne Bay was the final straw for the board, who have terminated the contract of their manager with immediate effect.

Director & CEO Paul Bowden-Brown said:

“Nick has worked professionally and diligently to bring success to this football club, and we are disappointed and saddened that the results have not mirrored this effort.”

“We as a club would like to go on record in personally thanking Nick for the way he has represented this club on and off the field and everyone wishes him and his family the very best for the future.”
