Draw made for next round of cup!

By David Watters

The Ryman League's clubs are running the rule over their opponents in the world's oldest cup competition following the draw for the next round of the FA Cup at Wembley.

Monday lunchtime's draw at the national stadium saw 14 Ryman League clubs go into the hat for the Third Qualifying Round. After the winners of the weekend's Second Qualifying Round clashes banked £4500 in prize money, another £7500 will be up for grabs when the ties are played over the weekend of Saturday 10 October.

Four of the Ryman League's flag bearers still have work to do in replays this week to confirm their berths with Hastings United and Herne Bay going again on Tuesday night in an all Ryman replay and Worthing hosting Southern League St Neots before Aveley welcome former Ryman League club Horsham YMCA to Mill Field on Wednesday night for the right to host either Larkhall Athletic or Havant & Waterlooville.

Ties involving those clubs already through include Enfield Town at home to Hitchin Town, Harlow hosting Bath City, Bognor Regis Town versus Oxford City, Lieston versus Gloucester City and Wingate & Finchley who welcome Weston Super Mare.

Elsewhere, Brentwood Town are on the road at Hoddesdon Town along with Grays Athletic who travel to Hanwell Town while East Thurrock United and Staines Town meet in an all Ryman clash at Rookery Hill.
