Eight clubs could reach first round!

By David Watters

The Ryman League's nine surviving flag-bearers in the Emirates FA Cup are looking ahead to reaching the first round proper after Monday lunchtime's draw for the final qualifying round.

And apart from Faversham Town and Hastings United who are going again this week in replays after drawing at the weekend, the league's seven other representatives are all through to the fourth and final qualifying round over the weekend of Saturday 15 October.

Held at Wembley and broadcast live on talkSPORT following the weekend's third round qualifying matches, a total of 32 ties were drawn at the national stadium after the 24 clubs in the National League went into the hat after entering the world's oldest cup competition.

As well collecting £7,500 as third qualifying round winners, clubs who make it through to the first round proper on Saturday 5 November will bank another £12,500 in prize money as fourth qualifying round victors.
