We've just heard that our statistician, Richard Lambert, has emerged (rather like a butterfly from its chrysalis) from his dusty garret, clutching fifty two copies of the Non League Paper, seventy match programmes and twelve dog eared copies of old Non League Directories- and declared that his work for the summer is done! Yes, the Isthmian Archive has been updated for 2022-23!
The archive, in case you've never visited it, is a cornucopia of statistical delight. Every result in Isthmian history is contained within, along with much more- including sections for reserve teams, youth and development leagues, cup competitions, old Isthmian Bulletins, results from Women's, Veterans and Disability Cups, and a special section filled with copies of Mike Wilson's Statistical Review.
It is an incredible body of work, of particular use to those of us who like to write about the Isthmian League, those who like history, those who simply like statistics, and those who are trying to resolve an argument about how many goals Arlesey Town scored in our Third Division in 2000-01 (spoiler alert- it was one hundred and thirty eight. They won the league with one hundred and eight points, second place Lewes twenty two points behind).
You want to go and look at it now, don't you? And you can- because we're nice like that. Follow THIS link.
Ok Richard, enjoy the summer. We expect you to lock yourself away again in mid August, and not to emerge until 23-24 is complete.
