Walton Casuals have announced that they will finally move back to Walton this weekend, when they take up residency at the Elmbridge Sports Hub after more than two years away. The club, who won their first four league matches of the new season despite still being wandering nomads, and remain top of the South Division despite last nights defeat at VCD Athletic, play the first match of their tenure against Horsham on Saturday, kick off 3PM.
The Sports Hub, built on the site of Casuals former home at Waterside Drive, will also be home to Walton & Hersham FC. The facility will provide football and athletics facilities including:
Chairman Tony Gale said: “I have lived in Elmbridge for 35 years and this is the most exciting football initiative I have come across. With the clubs’ Bostik League status, 500 strong youth section, disabled and ladies teams, I am proud to be a part of it.”
