Lewes achieved something of a coup last month with the appointment of managerial duo Tony Russell and Joe Vines, late of Cray Wanderers- and today they went big once more, as they announced the signing of former Cray Wanderers striker Joe Taylor.
Taylor, who was voted Isthmian Premier Player of the Year in the National Game Awards for the 2019-20 season after scoring twenty six league goals (with six more in cup competitions) before the season crashed to a premature end, spent some of last season playing in National League South for Ebbsfleet United as their campaign continued after ours ended. He'd already managed thirteen goals in fourteen appearances for Wands before the 2020-21 season was curtailed.

The player, speaking to the club website, stated:
"I'm really happy to sign for Lewes and the challenge is one that excites me. The ambition of the club is impressive and I can't wait to get back to doing what I do best. I'm sensing special times for the club and fans ahead."
