Hastings United are recovering from the disappointment of last season by building a formidable attacking force for forthcoming campaign. Over the weekend they boosted their forward line with the signing of Brightlingsea Regent winger Aaron Condon and Lewes striker Ben Pope.
Condon has been with Regent for three years (apart from a short spell at Coggeshall Town), where he had a scoring record of almost a goal every two games despite being ostensibly a winger. Last season he found the back of the net fourteen times.
Pope came to prominence at Worthing, where he was being scouted by a number of professional clubs before suffering a terrible injury which ruled him out for almost a year. Last season he joined Burgess Hill Town, scoring nine goals, before moving to Lewes, where he got four more in fourteen matches.
