Enfield Town have just announced the signing of former Tonbridge Angels, Harlow Town and- most recently- Aveley- striker Alex Read.
Read made four appearances for Angels in National League South this season, all from the bench, after helping to fire the club to promotion from the Isthmian League last season- when he scored thirteen goals. Thirteen goals was a slightly reduced return for the striker who got sixteen for Harlow Town in 2017-18 and nineteen the season before- indeed, he had a record of a goal every one hundred and forty minutes during his time as a Hawk.
He moved to Parkside to sign for Aveley in late August, and was an immediate hit, scoring on his debut against Romford and then scoring again against Boro in the Velocity Trophy. He also found the net against Brentwood Town on September 17th.

Shortly after Read's arrival, the Owners also announced that they had signed Gillingham forward Roman Campbell on a one month loan. Roman recently turned out for Sittingbourne, scoring five goals in six appearances.
