Exclusive club launched to lure benefactors

Herne Bay manager Sam Denly could be in line for a budget boost next season after the Ryman South club launched a major fundraising drive.

To raise £2000 a month during next season’s campaign and also support the Kent club’s other sides including ladies team, officials are hoping to persuade 20 individuals, organisations or companies to join their new ‘Golden 20 Club’ this summer and pledge £100 each month.

In return for their support, which will also boost the club's work in the community and with the town’s junior clubs, benefactors will be offered a wide ranging package of matchday and commercial benefits including two free season tickets, seating in the Railway Stand in an area reserved for club members and complimentary match programmes and hospitality.

Club members can also look forward to free use of the clubhouse for private or corporate functions, coach travel and entry in the club’s ‘Fifty 50 Club’ monthly draw with a chance to win a cash sum.

With free advertising opportunities, including pitchside perimeter boards and entries in the club programme also up for grabs, the club’s commercial manager Ron Boddy says potential benefactors should contact him as soon as possible to register their interest with numbers limited.
