Heybridge Swifts will host the successful ‘England the Chance’ project for young trialists from overseas again this summer.Swifts defender Guillem Ramon will oversee the coaching week, which gets underway on Sunday, July 9.
In its first year last summer, the project unearthed players including Swifts Spanish star Juan Luque (pictured on the right of the back row), who went on to score 28 goals and earn a trial with a pro club and a place at Jamie Vardy’s heralded V9 Academy. Scouts are expected to turn out again to watch a crop of players including keeper Alex Luque, 20, striker Toni Paredes, 18, left-sided defender Daniel Miguel, 25, and winger Hamza Iguaddou, 23.
The week will feature a practice match open to public at the Aspen Waite Arena on Friday, July 13, at 7.45pm versus a Swifts trialists XI.
