Two head to Stoke

Basingstoke Town announce the arrival of Jon Boardman and Jack French

Basingstoke Town last night welcomed two new signings, strengthening their midfield and their defence.

The midfielder is Jack French, who moves up the Pitching In Isthmian South Central Division from Ashford Town, for whom he has made sixteen appearances this season and scored a more than usual five goals. Prior to this season Jack turned out for Fleet Town and Hartley Wintney.

Defender Jon Boardman is very much a veteran acquisition, and has played at a significantly higher level with the likes of Rochdale, Woking and Dagenham and Redbridge, before spending many years nearer to Basingstoke with Hungerford Town. He also spent a little time with Margate many (many, many) years ago.
