Former Bay boss is the new Head Ram

Ben Smith appointed Ramsgate manager on a two year contract

Ramsgate have announced the appointment of Ben Smith as their new manager. He replaces Jamie Coyle, who resigned from the post at the end of last month following the Rams Play Off Semi-Final penalty shootout defeat at the hands of Hythe Town.

Smith knows what it takes to earn promotion from Pitching In Isthmian South East. He was in charge of Herne Bay when they earned promotion to our top flight via the Play Offs, and departed the club last November.

He had been in charge of Bay since the summer of 2019. Prior to his time at Winch's Field, he was the manager who led Canterbury City to the FA Vase Semi-Final.

He has signed a two year deal- apparently the Rams 'first ever contracted manager.'
