Gills Gale heads to the Island

Sheppey United yesterday announced that they'd strengthened their midfield by bringing in Sam Gale, on loan from Gillingham.

Sam isn't entirely new to the Pitching In Isthmian League. Towards the end of last season he spent some time on loan at Premier Division side Folkestone Invicta, although he doesn't seem to have made an appearance. He previously spent loan time in the SCEFL with Lordswood. he made his professional debut for the Gills last year, and has featured in two more first team squads, but has generally played for the Under 18 side- perhaps in account of the fact that he is still only seventeen years old!
