Good Friday Football- South East

By Ian Townsend

We've three important matches in the Pitching In Isthmian South East- one of which starts at 1PM. Here's our guide.

If you're off to the match between Sittingboune and Herne Bay you need to be leaving now- or if you're a Bay fan, you need to have left already, as it starts at 1! Bay have overtaken rivals Ramsgate in the race for a play off spot, as much down to the Rans terrible run as their own good form. They'll need more good form as they travel to face the Brickies, who have had as pretty good season themselves and could finish as high as sixth- indeed they could make fifth, but they'd need so much luck for that to happen they'd have almost as much chance of winning the Euromillions this evening! The Brickies have only one win in five, so will want to get back to their best form, whilst Bay haven't been all that convincing themselves of late, which will give Ramsgate hope.

The other two matches relate to the other end of the table. First, at 3PM, our matchday feature will come from Jubilee Field, where Three Bridges, who have had a decent season and are comfortably in mid table, host a Whitehawk side who are within two points of big, big trouble. The Hawks have taken only one point from their last twelve, and new boss Shaun Saunders will hope his honeymoon period starts today. Bridges have lost their last four, but there will be an edge to this one given what happened the last time the two met. Read more about it before six.

Finally, our evening match comes from Chichester City, and it is another Sussex derby, as East Grinstead Town come to call. Two wins from their last four have lifted the Wasps to sixteenth, but they are still only three points ahead of third bottom Lancing. City are more than comfortable in eleventh, and seem to have hit a bump in the road, losing their last three and seven of their last ten.
