Great Evans! Merstham bring in a striker

Magnificently-monikered forward heads to Moatside

Merstham have announced the signing of former South Park striker Great Evans.

Evans was a shining light in a fairly miserable season for Sparks last year, scoring thirteen goals in only twenty three appearances. He moved to South Park from Hayes and Yeading United; he'd scored three goals at the Skyex but felt he wasn't getting enough game time so headed to Whitehall Lane to rectify that, which he did to great effect.

He started his career as a youth player at Bedfont Sports, from where he was picked up by AFC Wimbledon, making his professional debut in an EFL Trophy tie at Yeovil Town. Sadly, although he scored his fair share of goals for the Dons U18's, his time at Kingsmeadow didn't lead to him becoming a first team regular- but he will hope that starring for the Moatsiders might set him on the track back towards the professional game.
