Gulls add a player/coach

Canvey sign experienced Seed Grower- and give him two jobs

Canvey Island have announced the arrival of Coggeshall Town midfielder Matt Lock, in a player/coach capacity.

Lock has made eight appearances for the Seed Growers this season, including in their 3-1 win over his new club just under a month ago. He joined the club in a player/coach capacity in the summer, after ending last season with North Division champions Bowers and Pitsea- making five appearances, three from the bench, and scoring a goal in a four-nil win at Felixstowe and Walton United.

He had been retired from playing for thirteen months prior to signing on at the Len Salmon, following a career which saw him make almost a century of appearances for Maldon & Tiptree and play at a higher level for the likes of Dover Athletic, Chelmsford City and Exeter City.
