Gulls land Love Island star!

Canvey Island have signed Love Island star Luis Morrison for the upcoming Ryman Premier campaign.

After finding fame on the hit ITV show, the central defender, pictured, could feature in the club's pre-season derby against island rivals Concord Rangers on Saturday after signing for Gulls boss Danny Heale on Wednesday night.

The tall 22-year-old arrives at The Frost Financial Stadium having played youth football for Arsenal and Stevenage Borough before moving abroad to play for FC YPA in Finland and Umea in Sweden.

Having trialled with a number of English clubs including Leeds United, Newcastle United and Derby County, Morrison has since gone on to play for the likes of Farnborough, Maidenhead United, Hampton & Richmond Borough, Grays Athletic, Concord Rangers and Heybridge Swifts.
