Hams is back to succeed Reid

Hams, pictured, took charge of the Swans for the first time on Monday night in the Surrey Senior Cup at Sutton United after Reid stood down at Stompond Lane last Friday after nearly two years at the helm.

The 39-year-old, who met supporters during a question and answer session at the club on Saturday to outline his plans for the remainder of the season, is no stranger to the Swans faithful having worked as assistant manager to Ian Hazel from 2003 to 2005.

Neither is he short of experience. As well as running Kingstonian's academy, he was also Alan Dowson's number two at Kingsmeadow before holding the same role at Redhill and most recently Tooting & Mitcham United.

Adam Pittwood has been appointed as Hams' own number two with the pair taking charge in the league for the first time on Saturday when the Swans head to East Grinstead Town.

In a statement confirming their appointment, club officials also thanked Reid for his services and said they regretted his departure.

A spokesman said: "Tony took over at Walton & Hersham at the end of February 2014 and the club would like to thank him for his hard work over the last 21 months. We wish Tony all the best for the future and feel sure he will find a new position in the coming weeks."
