Hastings welcome a duo

Joe Gbode returns- and Kasim Aidoo arrives

Hastings United had one new name and one welcome returning player in their line up on Saturday, and the latter scored in their draw with Wingate & Finchley.

Joe Gbode was the scorer, returning to the club for a third loan spell this season from League Two side Gillingham. His goal against the Blues makes it six in only seven matches this season.

Last season he had a loan spell with Margate, making five appearances for the Blues- and they were undefeated during that period. He also spent some time on loan at Folkestone Invicta last season, playing three times.

Kasim Aidoo moves to Sussex from fellow Pitching In Isthmian Premier side Potters Bar Town. Kasim came through the youth setup at Charlton Athletic, and moved down to Eastbourne Borough in National League South after leaving the Valley. Normally a full back, he moved to Cray Wanderers in September last year, and made the number three shirt his own, making twenty nine appearances as Wands avoided the drop.

His time as a Scholar has seen him move into midfield, make thirty four appearances, and score six goals- including one against his new club in October.
