Hawks and Lilywhites cancel each other out on a dark night in Brighton

Honours even at the Enclosed Ground

Whitehawk opened up a three point gap over the bottom three in the Pitching In Isthmian South East last night- but the Hawks will be disappointed it isn’t more, as Faversham Town grabbed a late equaliser.

In a match delayed by a floodlight failure, the Hawks went ahead on twenty two minutes, Javaun Splatt grabbing his seventeenth goal of the season with a slight deflection perhaps aiding matters. The Hawks may have dominated the first half, but the ascendency was to turn after the interval, and Town- who had been in fine form coming into this match- grabbing the point their endeavours deserved when Harry Harding forced the ball home- just- with fifteen minutes left.

That was that, the Lilywhites heading back to Kent four points ahead of their hosts and seven points clear of the bottom three.
