Hawks lose their Assistant...whilst the Sarnies still only have Assistants

Harlow Assistant leaves their relegation fight, but no news on Egham's new boss five days after his Assistants are appointed

Harlow Town today announced the departure of Assistant Manager Spencer Knight. Spencer joined the managerial team- he was formerly a player for the Hawks- in July 2014.

In a long statement, which you can read on the Harlow website, here,
Spencer explains that he's leaving to try and help the club avoid relegation:

“It is with some regret that I have today resigned from my position at Harlow Town Football Club.

“It has long been my intention to step down at the end of the season to fully pursue my ambitions of becoming a manager in my own right but with recent results and performances I have made this decision with the sole intention of attempting to help the club avoid relegation.

“I think a new voice in the dressing room and new ideas and methods on the training pitch could be the difference and gain the vital few wins that are now desperately needed. I’m sure the club will be inundated with offers from highly qualified coaches and whoever replaces me will join a strong backroom unit."

Meanwhile, at Egham Town, we still await news on their new manager- five days after we learned who his Assistants would be. Following the departure of Dickson Gill from the Runnymede dugout, the club website announced, 'Carl Palmer and Francisco Ramos are Assistant Managers working under instruction of the new Manager who will take over properly in the near future.' Carl and Francisco then oversaw their first match as Assistants on Saturday, as the Sarnies crashed to defeat at home to South Park. We've had a few messages on social media asking who the new mystery man at the Egham helm is going to be, but we're no wiser than the rest of you!

But we can promise that the only link between these stories is the fact that they both feature Assistant Managers!

Millers grab a late point in an eight-goal thriller- whilst Marlow and Felixstowe are cup finalists! Aveley go third in the North Division, and we had two clubs in County Cup Semi-Finals, both emerging victorious!
