Hawks snap up Hastings midfielder

By Ian Townsend

Ryan Worrall is the second Hastings player this week to arrive at Whitehawk

Newly promoted Whitehawk have raided Hastings United for the second time this week by adding midfielder Ryan Worrall to striker Ben Pope.

Worrall signed on at Pilot Field for the 2019-20 campaign, and was an immediate success. He made thirty appearances during that campaign, and went on to play a big part in their Pitching In isthmian South East promotion during 2021-22, playing thirty five times. Last season saw him adapt quickly to our Premier Division, and he played forty four times.

He was previously with the Hawks during their National League South days, and also played at that level for Eastbourne Borough. Tasman United in New Zealand was another stop, as well as, rather nearer home, Horsham.

He also spent some time on loan at Tonbridge Angels whilst a Borough player.
