Eastbourne United, second bottom of the Southern Combination Football League Premier Division, have announced that striker George Landais has left them to sign for Bostik South East Playoff contenders Haywards Heath Town. Which surprised us slightly, as we didn't remember him signing for them in the first place!
Striker Landais previously turned out for Lewes and Horsham amongst others, but this season has been at East Grinstead Town, scoring thirteen goals in twenty three appearances. We're not quite sure when he moved to the Eastbourne Oval, as he was certainly still with the Wasps on March 8th, an unused substitute as they drew with Herne Bay in front of a crowd of four hundred and seventy two, Harry Redknapp, and a large collection of Richmond sausages (no, you haven't just entered the world of Monty Python, East Grinstead won a competition which you can read about here).
Once Town, who travel to VCD Athletic on Saturday, confirm this move we'll add a link to their story.
