Highlights: Ramsgate 4 Ashford United 0

The Rams return to the summit

Ramsgate, a point behind Cray Valley in what looks increasingly like a two team title race, hosted a Kent derby against Ashford United. The Rams had looked below par of late, with one win- although only one defeat- from four, whilst the Nuts and Bolts were three unbeaten and perhaps fancied their chances of an upset. The Rams went ahead ten minutes before the break, Joe Taylor- who rather uncharacteristically had gone four games without a goal- getting his thirty seventh of the season to delight the majority of the one thousand and sixty eight in attendance- and within five minutes of the second half they were once more delighted, TJ Jadama making it two. Only one more minute had passed before the match was as good as won, Jordan Green getting the third. It was certainly won when Taylor added a fourth, fourteen minutes from time, and that was enough to see the Rams head back to the summit after Cray Valley somehow turned victory into defeat.
