Hillians bring in a whole new strikeforce

Ahead of crucial match with Kingstonian, some positive news from fans of the Green Elephants

With only three league goals scored in their last seven games, and eight points from safety with only eight matches remaining, something has to change if Burgess Hill Town are to retain their Bostik Premier Division status. The news that talisman Pat Harding is ill and unable to play in this afternoon's crucial match against Kingstonian isn't very positive, either- but fear not, Hillians fans, there is some positivity to be found at the Green Elephants Stadium! Not only have the ground sponsors renewed their sponsorship for next season, and not only have shirt sponsors Mansell McTaggart also renewed, but manager Simon Wormull has brought in a whole new strikeforce!

First in comes a loanee from AFC Wimbledon, Tommy Wood. Tommy joined the Dons Development Squad last May, having previously been an Academy player at Burnley, for whom he won the Youth Team Player of the Year Award. He was previously a youth player with both Reading and Wycombe Wanderers.

Joining Tommy is Ross Murdoch, who joins the club on a dual registration deal from former Bostik side Metropolitan Police. Ross has been at Imber Court since the summer, joining after being in the youth ranks at Woking.
