Hillians sign a duo

Transfer catch up- two more for Burgess Hill Town

Prior to Saturday's draw with East Grinstead Town, Burgess Hill Town manager Jay Lovett went back to his former club, South Park, for another addition- which might go some way towards explaining South Park's signing frenzy last Friday! He also brought in a player who has flitted between Whitehawk and South Park this season.

Heading to the Green Elephants Stadium were Alfie Rogers and Charlie Pitcher. Alfie played five matches for Lovett at Sparks, scoring for the club in their win over Northwood last month- but also scored against the Hillians for Whitehawk this month. He has made twelve Hawks appearances this season, but only three of them were starts, which explains why he headed to Whitehall Lane.

Pitcher has made fourteen Sparks appearances this season, scoring twice, following the eight goals in twenty four appearances he got last season. He previously played for Peacehaven & Telscombe, Dorking Wanderers, Loxwood, Horsham and Haywards Heath Town, and had a spell at the Hillians a few years ago.

Both made their debuts from the bench on Saturday as their new club grabbed a last-gasp point.
