Hill's Brown heads for Heath

George Brown makes Haywards Heath Town debut

Haywards Heath Town have signed defender George Brown from local rivals Burgess Hill Town- and pitched him straight in for his debut against another set of Sussex rivals, Three Bridges, on Tuesday night.

George came through the Academy at Brighton & Hove Albion before heading to Woking, where he captained the Under 18, 19 and 23 sides as well as occasionally being part of the first team squad. He went on to play for another Sussex side, Hassocks, and was part of the Hill squad last season before a serious injury ended his campaign. He made five Hill appearances last season before that injury, four more in this campaign- scoring two goals in a four-four draw with Lancing- and rejoins his former Hill boss Jay Lovett at Hanbury Park.
