Hornets want you to 'donate a pint'

By Ian Townsend

Horsham ask you to drink pretend beer and give the cash to support mental health charity!

Many of our clubs are asking for your financial help at the moment, but Horsham are bucking the trend somewhat, as they are asking for help for someone else!

In commemoration of the Euro 2020 tournament that we're all missing, the Hornets are asking you to effectively pretend you're watching it and to donate the price of the pretend pint of beer (other alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks are available) you're drinking to support Mind West Sussex, a mental health charity whose services are more in demand that ever during these difficult times. The club explain:

'West Sussex Mind are an independent local mental health
Charity offering support and information to individuals who at any time throughout the year may be struggling with mental health issues. They also campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding of mental health.

Horsham FC are helping to raise funds by organising ‘Donate
A Pint’ which will run from the 12th June to the 12th
July which would have been Euro 2020. All we are asking is for football and non football fans, who would normally have been meeting friends and family to watch the tournament over a few drinks, to donate the money they would normally spend on a drink to West Sussex Mind, allowing them to continue the important work they do.'
