Harlow Town are looking to raise a minimum of £5000 in sponsorship to help stage an international youth tournament at the Ryman North club.

Following the successful visit of their U12s to Holland in May to represent England at the highly-acclaimed International Youth Tournament, the Hawks agreed to host the competition in May 2015, bringing it back to England for the first time in ten years.

The Hawks announced this week that the tournament for nearly a hundred youngsters will take place between between May 14-17. Officials say the event will also serve as a cultural experience for the clubs and their players and staff attending the opening and closing ceremonies and a number of planned social functions.

Apart from seeking a main and secondary sponsors, Town's officials are launching a range of fundraising activities, starting with a race night for the club's fans, players and officials at the Harlow Arena on Friday November 14.

Harlow Town's David Square appealed to businesses throughout the South East as well as the Harlow area to consider getting involved for such a good cause and the opportunities it will offer them.

He said: "We are looking for our Ryman family to help us with contacts for local celebrities that we may be able to get along to the ground for the weekend and companies who could help us with some sponsorship for the youngsters to have a great weekend.

"To that end, Harlow Town are looking for a main sponsor for the tournament to follow Tesco who sponsored it 10 years ago. It a great opportunity for companies to gain loads of coverage in the media and we have a range of sponsorship packages from as little as £100 so please get in touch."
