Invicta add a forward

Stripes strengthen!

Folkestone Invicta have announced the addition to their squad of Ramsgate forward Stephen Smith.

The Rams signed the six-foot-three (or six-foot-two depending on which source you believe, perhaps he's shrunk in the wash) forward in May, and he's already scored seven goals in nine appearances this season, so Invicta are getting a player who is on form. His nine included a hat trick against Arundel in the FA Cup.

Last season he was at Whitstable Town, scoring eleven goals- including a hat trick in a Velocity Trophy win over Cheshunt. Prior to his time with the Oysterboys he turned out in the SCEFL, where he played for Glebe- these days managed by Gary Alexander- and Rusthall.

He could make his Folkestone debut as Neil Cugley's men take a trip to Corinthian-Casuals tomorrow.
