It’s FA Cup Sunday

By Ian Townsend

Six of our sides are in Cup action today- four of them against each other

Biggleswade, siting in mid table in Pitching In Southern Division One Central, play host to Maldon & Tiptree. The hosts started the campaign with three consecutive wins but have slowed down somewhat by losing their last two, whilst the Jammers have proved difficult to beat, losing only once, but have also had difficulty winning matches, with only one victory so far- that coming in a replay against West Essex in the last round.

Erith & Belvedere started their cup campaign by hitting Sussex Seasiders Littlehampton Town for six, but might find the latest set of Seasiders a little more of a challenge, Premier Division side Hastings United making the trip to Welling. The Deres saw a three match winning streak come to an end against Beckenham Town on Monday, whilst United have had a fine start to the season, unbeaten and having conceded only two goals, winning both of their last two matches by three goals to nil.

Kingstonian welcome Lydd Town to Imperial Fields. The K’s haven’t yet found form, with one win and four defeats from their five matches, whilst their visitors had a mixed start to the SCEFL campaign but have looked good of late, scoring four goals in each of their last two matches.

Uxbridge take on Cray Valley at Slough Town. Both sides are in good form, the South Central hosts unbeaten and having won four of their five matches in all competitions so far, the South East visitors fresh from scoring seven on Monday and also unbeaten.
