Andrew McCorkell returns to Northwood after three months with Uxbridge

Northwood have announced the return of goalkeeper Andrew McCorkell to the club. Andrew only left the Woods at the end of October, signing for neighbours Uxbridge, and he has made thirteen appearances for the Honeycroft side.

Andrew has already made fourteen appearances for Woods this season, and was an enormous part of their success last season, playing forty six times as they headed the table for much of the campaign prior to losing in the Pitching In Isthmian South Central Play Off Semi-Final against eventually-promoted Walton & Hersham.

Andrew signed for the Woods in the summer of 2022. He started the previous season with Chalfont St Peter, and made thirty four appearances, ending the campaign fighting at the other end of the table, with Bedfont Sports, managing another seven appearances, the last of those coming in Play Off Semi-Final defeat to Hanwell Town.

Andrew previously played for Hayes & Yeading United, Hendon, St Albans City, Maidstone United and Chesham, and was a youth player with MK Dons. He should replace the departed Roraigh Browne in the side tonight as they welcome Westfield, Roraigh having returned to parent club Watford.
