It's Okay for Trawlerboys

By Peter Butcher

A GOAL by Erkan Okay earned Lowestoft a 1-0 victory at Kingstonian tonight (Monday) and lifted them to third place in the Ryman Premier table.

K’s were reduced to ten men midway through the first half by the dismissal of top scorer Andre McCollin and keeper Rob Tolfrey was defiant as a spell of heavy pressure followed.

He was beaten by Okay (pictured) in the 35th minute and that proved to be enough, although Paul Vines went close to a late equaliser.

The Trawlerboys are now 12 points behind leaders Whitehawk with five games in hand, though as those games in hand mean that they have to play 12 matches in the next month they will not find it easy to make them count.
