It's Semi Final Tuesday

By Ian Townsend

The Velocity Trophy has reached the Semi-Final stage. Here's our preview.

It's time for the Semi-Finals of the Velocity Trophy, and we have an all-Pitching In Isthmian Premier last four.

At the Camping World Community Stadium Horsham, who have disposed of Haywards Heath Town, Corinthian-Casuals and Hythe Town to reach this stage, with an aggregate score of ten-one, welcome Folkestone Invicta. Neil Cugley's stripy heroes have beaten Barking, Cray Valley and Chichester City to reach this stage, with an aggregate of eight-four. Invicta have defeated Horsham once in the league this season, and their rematch, also at the Camping World Community Stadium, is next Tuesday night.

In North London Haringey Borough welcome Margate. Borough have had to defeat only Brightlingsea Regent and Cheshunt to get to this stage, whilst Gate have seen off Herne Bay, Tooting & Mitcham United and Carshalton Athletic. The two met in the league at Hartsdown Park at the weekend, witg Gate coming from behind to win three-one with goals Ken Feyi, Ben Greenhalgh and Ben Vaivada, so Borough have a very early chance at revenge. When the two met at Coles Park back in November the match ended two-two- if the same happens tonight we'll be off to penalties.

Best of luck to all four sides. The Final is at Parkside, Aveley, on Wednesday 13th April.
