K's and Robins record cup victories

By Ian Townsend

A brief round up of last night's action

Kingstonian finally got to play their FA Cup their FA Cup Second Qualifying Round match last night, as they took on March Town United- replacements for the sadly and unfortunately expelled Grays Athletic- at King George's Field. Two goals from Dan Bennett and a third right at the end from Youssef Bamba gave them a comfortable victory, and earned them a Third Qualifying Round tie against Weston Super-Mare, who will travel to Tolworth on October 5th- the match will be played on the Saturday as Corinthian-Casuals have an away tie at Kings Langley. Mick Sullivan interviewed K's manager Hayden Bird after the game, and you can see that here.

Elsewhere, in Group Five of the Velocity Trophy Bracknell Town headed to Cheshunt to take on FC Romania. The Robins were too strong for the Wolves, running out four-nil victors, with goals from Charlie Losasso (2), Sebastian Bowerman and Darboe Ousman. They gave debuts (again) to the returning Carl Davies and Joe Grant.
