Non-League Day is being marked by Bury Town with a celebration of all the Ryman Premier club's teams, volunteers and officials.

As part of Non-League Day 2013, the Blues announced on Friday that they are organising a day to 'celebrate the club as a whole' around their clash with Wealdstone at Ram Meadow on Saturday week, September 7.

Bury Town, pride themselves on their ‘Football 4 All’ philosophy and run 34 teams across all age groups for boys and girls as well veteran, ladies and pan-disability sides. Their entire football community will be doing a lap of honour at half-time before Allan Girot from their Boys & Girls League section and first team players Callum Kearns and Connor Hall present the teams who won trophies last season with their silverware again. Bury Town's U8 'Rams' and 'Colts' will get their first taste of senior football at Ram Meadow as matchday mascots.

Club Development Officer Tom Parkington said: "Bury Town’s aim is to give as many youngsters within their local community the chance to play and enjoy the 'beautiful game' but to also have unique experiences like this year's Non-League Day.

"The club wants to celebrate all the great work that the youth managers, coaches & secretaries do throughout the year and give all the players a moment they will always remember."

Non-League Day was first held four years ago and is supported annually by hundreds of clubs up and down football’s Pyramid. Clubs are asked to help attract new fans and raise awareness of the Non-League game by offering free or heavily discounted admission to season tickets holders at Premier League and Football League clubs.
