League clubs invited to funeral

By David Watters

The funeral of Capital Football League general secretary and vice-chairman Peter Braxton is taking place in Northwood next Tuesday.

The respected football administrator and former Wealdstone secretary, director, vice-chairman and press officer, pictured making a presentation, will be laid to rest at Northwood Cemetery in Chestnut Avenue at 12.30pm following an 11.30am service at St Lawrence Church in Bridle Way, Eastcote.

The long-serving league officer and Stones stalwart, who helped found the Capital Football League back in 1984 with Wealdstone as one of its founding clubs, passed away earlier this month after suffering a suspected heart attack.

Past and current members of the Capital Football League are invited to pay their respects at the funeral and celebrate his life afterwards with his friends and family at the Pinner Hill Golf Club in Pinner.

Mourners wishing to attend are asked to contact Capital Football League match & registrations secretary Mark Bundock in advance at: matchregsec@gmail.com.
