League links with children's charity

By Peter Butcher

THE Ryman League has announced a link with Street Child, a charity which works with children in Sierra Leone, until recently ranked as the poorest country in the world.

The charity, which is also backed by Theo Paphitis of league sponsors Ryman Ltd, has so far helped more than 1,000 street children back into their familiies and into school, and supports basic education facilities in rural communities.

Football is hugely popular in the country and the sport plays a large part in Street Child activities. They are appealing for clubs to send them used kits, whether a single shirt or entire strips.

For further details contact Street Child at 42-44 Bishopsgate, London, EC2N 4AH (phone 020 7614 7696 or email info@street-child.co.uk).

Where next?

Hendon set for Harrow move RYMAN Premier club Hendon will be ground-sharing with divisional rivals Harrow Borough from next season.
More cup delight for Soham SOHAM may be one of only two teams in the whole Ryman League without a point to their credit, but it has been a different story in cup competitions.
