Lockyer for Cray

Former Ashford striker signs on at Cray Wanderers

Cray Wanderers have announced the signing of striker Gary Lockyer, who was a big part of Ashford United's run to the Play Off Final last season. Wands have been rather slow to announce it- he's been on the bench for their last three matches!

The Nuts and Bolts signed striker Gary from neighbours Kennington midway through last season, after he had already scored eighteen SCEFL goals. He added seventeen more in his thirty appearances in green and white.

Gary previously played for Ramsgate. He started out with Gravesend and Northfleet, had trials at Charlton Athletic and Aldershot Town, and spent many years playing for Lydd Town in the shadow of the nuclear power station. He won back to back promotions with Kennington.
