Magic Martin is back!

Romford announce 'interim' appointment- and their Ralf Rangnick is Paul Martin

Romford have announced that their 'interim' manager will be club legend Paul 'Magic' Martin- which will surprise absolutely nobody!

Paul had fifteen years at the Romford helm, delivering North Division survival for year after year- as well as an Essex Senior League title in 2009- despite the club having no ground and very little in the way of resource. His time at the club came to an ignominious end in November when Glenn Tamplin arrived at the Boro and decided to put himself in charge, seeing the departure of Paul and his Assistant Mark Lord. He began this season in charge of East Thurrock United, but stepped away from that role early last month.

He replaces Derek Duncan, who stepped down from the role yesterday, and has agreed to stay until the end of the season.

Magic's first match in charge will be on Monday, when they travel...absolutely nowhere, as they are 'visiting' landlords Barking. He will be trying to turn around a run of eight successive defeats, but Barking will also be desperate for points, as they don't have a win since September 10th.
