Marlow bring in a new keeper

Chris Rackley looks to be the new Marlow number one


Marlow were magnificent in defence last season, and their goalkeeper Simon Grant was an enormous part of their push to the Playoffs, keeping twenty clean sheets in all competitions. But Grant has moved on, looking to try his hands further up the pyramid, which has left manager Mark Bartley with a big pair of gloves to fill.

Earlier today Mark confirmed the return to the club of former Harlow Town keeper Sam Szymczyk, who moved to the Alfred Davis Ground late last season- but he also announced the signing of Chris Rackley, who moves in from Basingstoke Town. He hadn't been with Basingstoke for long, however, as is perhaps best remembered for his time with Thatcham Town, with whom he won the FA Vase in 2018.
