AFC Hornchurch manager Jimmy McFarlane has secured the services of defender Elliott Styles for next season’s Ryman Premier campaign.

After re-signing striker Martin Tuohy last week, the Urchins manager agreed a new deal on Tuesday with the 30-year-old, pictured with the Essex Senior Cup after skippering the club to triumph in 2013.

McFarlane is preparing a squad to bounce back from the disappointment of losing out in May’s top flight promotion play-off final to Lowestoft Town and the Urchins say they are delighted that Styles has committed to another season at the Bridge.

In a statement on their website, the Urchins said: "Having already secured Martin Tuohy for the upcoming campaign, the club are extremely pleased to see Elliott Styles put pen to paper for the season ahead. One of the players of the 2013-14 campaign, Elliott's signing is a huge boost for the club."
